Platelet Rich Plasma

We have now introduced PRP platelet rich plasma treatment to Skinboost and are loving the results so far, the treatment is available at Cottingham and York clinic and is causing much interest for anyone wanting a more natural approach to antiaging or as an additional treatment to clients already using botox and fillers to help rejuvenate the skin.

It really has a great boost on the tone texture of the skin , the skin feels smoother and less crepey, it helps with dark circles also.

For those of you who do not know much about PRP, it is a process where a single syringe of blood is taken from your arm. (like when you have a blood test) this is then spun in a centrifuge at the clinic for around 20 mins, during this time you have some numbing cream to make the procedure more comfortable.

Once the blood is separated the red cells are discarded and the clear concentrated blood is collected into a syringe which is then reinjected back into the areas of concern or where rejuvenation is most needed.

The way how this works is that the platelets are rich in growth factors, growth factors when activated release fibroblasts which begins the healing repair cycle.

PRP is used for wound healing in orthopaedics plastic surgery etc by some surgeons to promote better and faster wound healing it is also useful to repair tendon and ligament repairs if injected in the area.

This treatment fits well into the Skinboost portfolio of treatments because it enables you to to reach a natural result and when used selectively with botox fillers or other skincare ... WOW
