What is it?

Mesotherapy is an injection treatment that nourishes and promotes the health of the skin, this is delivered to the layers of the skin where cell repair and growth occurs.

Vitamins, amino-acids, minerals, hyaluronic acid, all essential components for healthy skin cells, can be delivered by mesotherapy. This treatment helps improve dull, tired looking skin; dry, lifeless skin, superficial wrinkles, and is an ideal pick me up.

How is mesotherapy carried out?

A series of tiny injections are done to the full face or areas that particularly need attention. The treatment is tolerated well however an anaesthetic cream is used prior to the treatment which improves comfort.
A course of 3-4 sessions are advised every 2 weeks, with maintenance 1-2 times a year.

Are there any contraindications?

Most clients are suitable for this treatment but should be avoided if known allergy to ingredients in the mesotherapy cocktail, pregnancy, breastfeeding, kelloid scarring, or infection.

Is the treatment safe?

Yes, all the substances used, normally occur in the skin but degrade as our skin becomes older and stressed. Mesotherapy replaces these naturally occurring vitamins and nutrients.

How effective is this treatment?

This treatment gives lovely results particularly if combined with other treatments such as dermaroller or PRP (platelet rich plasma), skin becomes glowing, hydrated, nourished, and firmer and skin texture is improved.

What are the side effects?

Minimal bruising, slight swelling and marks from injections can occur. Infection, allergy, scar or pigmentation is very rare.
Aftercare?

SPF cream is used afterwards and make-up can be used next day.

Most people go back to work the next day or after a few hours once any swelling has settled.
