The cosmetic use of botox (line relaxing injections) available within our Cottingham and York clinics has rapidly become one of the most popular cosmetic procedures worldwide because of its affordability, simplicity and efficacy. As with all the aesthetic treatments available at Skinboost, it is important to discuss your requirements before your treatment and plan the treatment according to your needs, this is part of the consultation, eg you may not be suitable for the treatment or would prefer a different option. The treatment lasts from 3-6 months, most people have the treatment regularly on a 3-4 monthly basis, but some people choose to have it as a 'one off' treatment for a holiday or wedding, the toxin totally wears off over the few months and returns to how you were before your treatment. Unfortunately botox and dermal fillers have become an industry where regulations are not fully implemented. Botulinum toxin is a prescription only drug and needs to be ordered and stored appropriately, and delivered by a nurse/doctor/dentist who is qualified to administer the product and has had appropriate training. Be assured at Skinboost that a Senior Nurse Prescriber, who will prescribe and administer your treatment safely and your welfare will always be put first. An aftercare session is booked during your treatment (2 weeks) so that the Senior Nurse can obtain optimum results, if any additional botox is required there is no extra charge for this.
